Balconeze Fitting Instructions

Easy to Install Pegging System - No Need to Grout, No Need to Bond

The Balconeze Tile system is simple to install using a unique pegging system.  There is no need to bond to membrane, making it easier should the membrane require fixing at a future date, due to wear and tear.

Laying Balconeze Tiles

 Laying Tiles

If the waterproofing system to be covered is compatible with the Rubbertech Balconeze Tile, lay the slabs directly over the waterproofing.  If this is not the case, include a separating layer between them, i.e. a PE or PP geo-textile with a minimum area weight of 300 g/m.

Set out the Tiles to accommodate the design that is to be installed.  The Tiles can be laid in traditional formats Stretcher bond and Parallel Tile

Install the first line keeping the full Tiles to the Gutter edge and cuts to the wall edge.  The first line of Tiles are end pegged only.

Lay preceding lines as required using plugs facing the laying direction.  Dependent on the laying method chosen certain dowel holes will not accept dowels.  Ensure that the two parallel receivers abut tightly.

The Tiles should be pegged in rows as per the illustration below and chosen method of installation.

If receiver holes are not pegged, they should be butt jointed.
